Un Nouveau Jour invests in Chinese Coffee Company
Un Nouveau Jour, the privately held Chinese media investor, has announced their seven figure acquisition of 50% of China Coffee Brands of Shanghai; one of the top distributors of coffee products in Asia specializing in the provision of premier coffee to both restaurants and wholesalers. The transaction closed on Friday 16th November.
According to Director of Communications for Un Nouveau Jour, Zhan Chan- " The coffee market is exploding in China with an expected annual growth of 14.3% and an average per capita consumption of 0.05kg in 2018. We expect these numbers to keep growing over the forseeable future"
Un Nouveau Jour also announced the appointment to the board of two new non-executive directors to represent their holdings; American businessman, Joesph Lewis, a well-known sophisticated investor and venture capitalist and Pat Andrew, Hollywood producer and former CEO of Wanda-Halcyon Television.
According to Stefan Gerstmayer, CFO of Un Nouveau Jour- "We appointed both directors for their commercial knowledge and their unique understanding of the media and advertising industries and we feel that their appointments will be a great asset to the company going forward in their plans for growth".
