Phoenix Wealth Management’s CSR team continues spreading the love.

March 18, 2019

The notion that “making money is the only social responsibility of a company” is outdated. Other than creating greater benefits and taking into account the interests of all relevant stakeholders, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is extremely essential too. CSR refers to where a company gives back to the society and contribute to the sustainable development of society and the environment. Companies that do not implement CSR will find hard to get the seal of approval from consumers. In other words, CSR has become one of the necessary conditions for the
sustainable development of companies.

Phoenix Wealth Management has been invested in social work for a long time. In 2014, the Phoenix CSR team leverage on three major directions: “business development”, “sustainable environment” and “social participation”, to promote Phoenix CSR activities. These Includes financial donations, implementing charitable financial services, and organizing community volunteer services, and the 3 core areas of focus are as follow:

  1. Real-time Disaster Emergency Relief Response:

The Phoenix CSR team will organize and evaluate real-time disaster information, provide relief supplies and funds to the affected areas, as well as collaborate with non-profit organizations to help the reconstruction of the disaster area. At the same time, the team will actively seek collaborations with companies to integrate and use the resources network to quickly deliver relief supplies to the required areas.

2. Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development:

Phoenix Wealth Management makes it a priority to collaborate with charitable organizations and volunteer service teams, on environmental resources conservation and research on sustainable development. Example: Collaborating with the airport to help the Australian airport go green and improving on the facilities to reduce air pollution. Also, making using of the turbulence flow of rainwater to help reduce the use of energy, etc.

3. Nourish the Malnourished Children Program:
Phoenix Wealth Management regularly donates nutritious meals and donations to reputable non-profit humanitarian organizations and charities to distribute it to malnourished children around the world. To ensure that every donation truly harnesses the power of love, Phoenix CSR team works with these organizations and organizations to regularly track the status of health and progress of the malnourished children to ensure that they can be on track to regaining their health and grow healthily.

In addition to the 3 core areas of focus, Phoenix Wealth Management also continues to help the needy. Through the evaluation of information by the Phoenix CSR team, the funds are distributed according to the needs. As such, all resources can be fully and effectively utilized.

Mr. Yang Wei, General Manager of Phoenix Wealth Management- Asia Pacific, believes that managing CSR is like running a business. There is no standard practice. However, it must be cultivated through time in order for it to be effective. If it is only a one-off or short-term activity, it will be hard to see the results of such efforts. Since the start of Phoenix Wealth Management, we have been paying close attention to events, both big and small, that seeks for help from the international community. The company have since been actively engaged in social welfare activities and provide as much help that we can, as possible. We also hope that through the activities that we do to spread good, we can influence more individuals and companies to join us in doing our part for the society and give more opportunities to those who need help, so that more people can contribute to doing their part for the economics and promote social diversity.
