Breaking News - Nevada Candidate sues Feds over Gun Control Act
May 10, 2016
Barry Michaels, a Democrat running for Nevada's 3rd Congressional District (www.michaelsforcongress.com) filed a class action lawsuit against the federal government on March 15, 2016. Michaels is a convicted felon and under federal law, he cannot possess a firearm to protect himself and his family.
According to Michaels: "It makes no sense to be able to serve in Congress or even become. President of the United States, but be barred for life from owning a firearm to protect myself and my loved ones. I could have my finger on the nuclear trigger but not on the trigger of a Colt 45. The idea of creating second class citizens contradicts the Constitution and more specifically, the Second Amendment.”
Michaels alleges the Federal Gun Control Act 18 U.S.C. Section 922(g)(1), as applied to him and millions of other similarly situated law-abiding felons, violates their constitutional rights.

The buildup to this year’s Presidential election has been perhaps the most devicive, contentious—and flat out strange—in our country’s history. The Republicans’ presumed candidate (a real estate mogul and reality TV star) who has stunned the poliical arena that has made history bringiing in millions of new voters to the Republican party. Meanwhile, the most compelling Democratic candidate is a 74-year old socialist who is connecting with millennials young enough to be his grandkids, and who may change the Democratic Party forever—all without being his party’s nominee. (Furthermore, the Democrats’ presumptive nominee may just end up being our country’s first female President). One thing is for sure, is that this election historic. Knowing that this is the election of a lifetime—and how important it is for every citizen to get out in vote and have their voice be heard—American Farmer Popcorn...
Outreach bringing hope to stop gun violence in milwaukee
May 10, 2016
Hello, to all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ and Fellow Co-laborers of the Gospel, I bring you greetings from Faith Harvest Outreach.
As I look around our city, it is plagued by various crimes; prostitution, drug and alcohol addictions, robbery, rape, murder, suicide and hopelessness. We, as the Faith community, know the root cause of all these unlawful acts is “sin”.
As we watch our elected officials and law enforcement fuss and point the finger at one another,
trying to scramble to come up with the answers to slow down or even stop some of these problems; they do not have the answer, but we do. It’s time for the Faith community to galvanize around a common goal and that is to take the good news to a dying world.
Paul said in Galatians 3:8, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there...
